Dan Zerbe

Since joining the GCCS board, when Dan’s children attended a few decades ago, he has seen the Lord provide for the school in many ways, but particularly through the investment of people; volunteers building, leading, serving meals, donating; teachers investing themselves in their students; and parents participating in the life of the school in many ways.  Dan sees the school as a primary extension of the families, a cooperative of parents and grandparents providing for the education and spiritual development of each other’s children out of love for God and his Church.  He is glad he can support this ministry as the Board Vice President.

Dan and his wife, Bethany, have four children, now grown, who have attended GCCS in their early years: Isaac, Ben, Marita, Jeremy, and a Ukrainian exchange daughter, Kseniia.

Dan is a Family Physician with the U of R at his Primary Care facility in Perry.

Dan has his Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Houghton College, his MD from U of R School of Medicine and Dentistry.  He attended Northeastern Seminary, MT’s and is currently enrolled at Finger Lakes Community College for Horticulture.

His hobbies and interests are street tree care and learning the banjo.

Dan has been apart of many missions and memberships:  Youth Group Leader, Worship Team, and Christian Education Board Member of the Baptist Church of Perry, where him and his family have been long time church members.  Chairman for the Tree Board of the Village of Perry.  District Shared Decision Making Team of the Perry Central School District. Treasurer & Secretary for Wyoming County Medical Society of the Medical Society for the State of New York.  A French Horn player with the Perry Community Band.  Liaison AFS student exchange program.  Christian Medical and Dental Associations.  American Academy of Family Physicians.  American Medical Association.
