Instructional materials are selected from a wide variety of Christian and secular publishers. Primary grades provide a developmentally appropriate, hands-on approach to learning in math, science and social studies. Phonics and spelling instruction are included in the literature based reading/language arts program.
Intermediate grades focus on the development of reading and writing skills necessary for successful learning. Thinking skills are explicitly taught and modeled, and small group interaction is a daily practice.
The school’s reading program is Foundations & Frameworks. A uniquely designed, research-based instructional reading program focusing on addressing five quintessential elements: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency and reading comprehension..
Bible, Art, Music, Computer and Physical Education are taught at all grade levels.
Daily devotions and weekly chapels encourage students to learn and apply God’s word. Teachers integrate Biblical principles in all academic subject areas as well as emphasizing the development of Christ-like attitudes and behavior.
