Josh brings over 13 years of experience in education to GCCS, having taught Kindergarten, third, fifth, and sixth grades. He also served as a middle school assistant principal for two years. Most recently, Josh served as the Youth and Interim Pastor at Wheatland Community Church in Rush, NY.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Fredonia. While teaching third grade in North Carolina, he earned a Master’s degree from Appalachian State University in 2008. In 2012, he completed his Administration Degree from SUNY Brockport.
Josh’s life took a transformative turn in 2014 when he encountered the Lord in a deeply personal way. Over the following years, he felt a clear call into ministry, which led him to serve on staff at Elim Gospel Church in Lima for four years, followed by three and a half years as Youth Pastor at Wheatland Community Church.
Now returning to education, Josh is thrilled to join GCCS, where Christ is at the center of everything. He is eager to lead the school while continuing to grow and learn alongside the students, staff, families, and board.
Outside of work, Josh is an active member of his community. He has served for several years as the Scoutmaster for the Lima Scout Troop and currently serves as a Trustee on the Village Board. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, snowboarding with his daughter, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills—hopeful that this might be their year.
Josh has been married to his wife, Chrissy, for 22 years. They have three children: Blake (20), Wyatt (17), and Annalise (15).
